She raps in her mother tongue Ukrainian and hits the bull's eye with her lyrics. The former educator is about to become a cult. Her debut album "Ribki" ("Fischlein", a synonym for young women) became a viral hit in Ukraine after its release in October 2018. She raps humorously about what it's like to be the "thickest fish" - and not to fit into the narrow ideal of beauty. "Salischaju swij dim" ("I leave my house") is an unofficial anthem for the many Ukrainians who want to move away from their ancestral life into a better future - whether to the EU, America or the capital Kiev. There is something about Alyona Alyona that goes beyond her undoubtedly impressive looks, her confident attitude, her captivating flow, her lyrical ability, her sound quality or her alter ego in kindergarten. Her success can simply amount to an innate sense of authenticity that gives her hip-hop personality the street credibility the genre thrives on.
This year alyona alyona performed at the festivals Tallinn Music Week EST, Fusion DE, Pohoda SK, Atlas Weekend UA, Sziget HU, Haldern-Pop DE and going to do shows Pop-Kultur Berlin DE, Loftas fest Vilnius LT, Iceland Airwaves festival Reykjavik IS, Reeperbahn Festival Hamburg DE, Waves Vienna AT, Trans Musicales Rennes festival FR. And its all in less than one year on stage! She is also nominated for the Anchor Award - Reeperbahn Festival International Music Award 2019.
“There is no box big enough for her in- and output”, states the German music magazine Noizz about Berlin based rapper Yetundey. Her 2018 debut EP “See No Evil” placed the multi-lingual artist from Leipzig onto the international rap map. She raps, sings, produces, dances and produces her own music videos. The all-rounder and multi-talent refuses any artistic boundaries and captures her audience with sick double-time parts, satiric lyrics and musical influences from all over the world. Be it with powerful trap parts in the nocturnal fever of "Berlin", as a "terrorist" of rhyming technique, the self-ironic "YeYe from Africa" or the sensual "Djinn" of Tribal HipHop - Yetundey is an energy-spewing surprise package standing for a clear artistic vision: Loud and provocative, the rapper conquers every stage, with positivity and humor.
Multitalent Stella Zekri works as a DJ and vocalist, seamlessly blending a wide spectrum of influences into soulful sets and performances. Growing up in Paris, she incorporated hip-hop's sampling culture into her musical identity and has been enriching it with funk, disco, house, neo-soul, jazz and anything in between. Currently based in Berlin, she frequently stands behind the decks at clubs that include Griessmuhle, Zur Wilden Renate.
